Romano’s style allows him to combine design, functionality, and financial efficiency in each one of his projects. He has been recognized with the Gold Medal at the XIV National Biennial of Mexican Architecture 2016; the Augusto A. Álvarez Award 2014, by the Federation of Architects of Mexico; the Luis Barragán Award for Professional Merit.
Recent projects include the Puerto Vallarta Airport, which will be the first Zero Energy terminal in Latin America.

Another of Romano’s passions is teaching. He also taught at the Department of Architecture at the Universidad Iberoamericana for more than two decades, and in 2016-2017 he was invited as an Expert in Residence at Harvard University’s School of Design and Architecture.
