In memory of Professor Yasuhiko Hangai (Japan, 1942-1998), a higly active member of the IASS and its Executive Council, and in line with his career-long encouragement for young people, the Hangai Prize recognizes outstanding/talented young researchers, designers, engineers, and architects in the field of shell and spatial structures.
This recognition is awarded based on exceptional submissions to the Annual IASS Symposium, which may include research papers, design projects résumés, or innovative conceptual proposals and ideas.
