Shellcraft, Recycled Structure Pavilion

A self-standing textured and sensorial pavilion that can be used as a threshold transition in-between spaces, based on a concept of repetition, iteration, and interlocking, managing hexagons and their profiles tilted to acquire different shapes inwards and outwards.

With a sense of social awareness, using light, simple material: Corrugated cardboard, interlocked with open seams that create a giant set, using little to none bolts and nuts to improve assembly and that can be recycled after the exhibition.

The idea relies on hexagons, a pattern divided into 4 different pieces and how the interlocking creates unity through form.

The first proposal, reminded a self-supported structure, then it evolved into a series of scales to form a sort of pyramid with some diagonal pieces embracing the whole system.
