The main objective of this pavilion is to explore the possibilities of creating a hybrid architecture based on synclastic double-curved domes configured by an assembly of actively flexing bamboo slats, using a structural textile as a sealed cover for protection against rain and also used as a garden surface, which in this case requires no substrate other than the surface of the textile for the ivy (climbing plant), planted at the base of the dome, to grow and adhere to the surface of the textile, eventually covering the dome.<\/p>

The specific objectives of this pavilion are: to increase the surface area of green mass, to capture CO2 and store it in its leaves, trunk, and branches; to contribute to reducing the heat island effect, helping to moderate temperature extremes; to use vegetation as a thermal buffer, in favor of the comfort of the interior space of the dome.<\/p>

Materials used:<\/strong>
Bamboo slats of the species guadua angustifolia, with a thickness between 3 and 5 millimeters for the upper part of the dome and between 5 and 7 millimeters for the slats directed towards the ground. Galvanized steel bolts, nuts, and washers of different lengths depending on the number of slats to be assembled at each joint.
Structural fabric composed of high-tenacity polyester coated with a layer of PVC on both sides, 0.5 millimeters thick and weighing approximately 600 grams per square meter.<\/p>

Bamboo or wooden stakes to secure the lower slats of the dome to the garden, 50 cm long and of variable thickness.<\/p>

Ivy will be planted on the side of each lower slat of the dome, growing and adhering to the surface of the fabric, eventually creating a cascade of interwoven ivy that will significantly stiffen the initial dome.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t
